Oral Health Treatment

This free service is offered to every NHS and private patient. We will conduct a comprehensive check of your oral health by assessing your jaw joint function as well as checking for any other abnormalities. We will then complete an oral cancer check, gum health check and assess your teeth. This will gives the foundations and knowledge we need to give you the best care moving forward.

Home Tooth Whitening

Tooth Whitening is the most common and simple way of getting discoloured and dull teeth to its brightest. With our expertise and care, we are confident that we will help you achieve the perfect smile!

It is a simple process. We will give you a thorough examination and set you up with a bespoke tooth whitening tray, you use these trays between 10 and 14 days at home and we will give you a thorough examination after this period to ensure that you achieve the best results. Easy!

We use the popular Dentply teeth whitening gel for the safest teeth whitening process and it is imperative that you use a dental expert to achieve the best and safest results for your teeth.

Cosmetic Assessment (including X-rays)

If you feel you have a cosmetic concern about your smile, then we will be happy to consult with you. We will take you through a complete oral health check after which we will take photographs and X-rays of your teeth. We will provide you with all treatment options, costs and timescales. A written report will be posted out to you. If you decide to proceed and your quotation is over £1000, we will refund your assessment fee.

Hygiene Therapy

After a thorough examination of your gums, we will prescribe a course of hygiene treatments. Early signs of gum problems may be bleeding gums after brushing and if this persists, you may notice bad breath and loosening teeth.

Gum disease is the biggest cause for adult tooth loss and it also affects your general health by increasing your risk of heart attacks and strokes. In pregnant ladies, it may result in low birth weight of their baby.

We will give you a complete assessment and prescribe the best hygiene treatment for you along with demonstrating the most effective ways of cleaning your teeth to prevent future problems.

Cosmetic tooth coloured filling / Cosmetic Bonding

Cosmetic tooth coloured filling is an effective method to mimic the natural tooth by building and restoring the tooth in coloured layers to give your teeth a superior cosmetic appearance. Tooth coloured fillings are bonded or glued in place to provide extra tooth strength compared to less effective silver amalgam fillings. These restorations are placed using rubber dam which isolates your tooth from bacteria and moisture from saliva.

Tooth Coloured Inlay / Onlay

Tooth coloured inlays and onlays are constructed by taking an impression of your tooth with the old filling removed so a new restoration can be constructed. We will send this impression to our specialist laboratory technician to construct the final restoration when it will then be bonded onto your tooth to give you a strong lifelike tooth.

Due to advances in materials and bonding technology, inlays and onlays are increasingly popular and have the major advantage of requiring less tooth structure to be removed than the normal crowns. No one will know the difference appearance-wise!

Crowns

Crowns are used to restore badly broken down, heavily filled or root treated teeth. This process involves two stages:

Stage 1

We will prepare your tooth by removing your tooth structure which will allow our lab technician to rebuild your tooth using a combination of metals, porcelain and zirconium. The material choice is dependent on the location of tooth in your mouth, your budget, aesthetic demands and other key dental considerations. We will record your tooth impressions, take photographs and place a tooth-coloured interim till the crown is constructed.

Stage 2

We will replace your interim crown with the new permanent crown and let you see the results. If you are happy, we will cement or bond your crown into place. Your new crown is to be cleaned the same way as you would your natural teeth.

We offer two types of cosmetic crowns: Tooth coloured crown with metal substructure and Tooth coloured all ceramic crown.

Bridge

Dental bridges are used to replace missing teeth by securing a false tooth to either a single or multiple adjacent teeth. These bridges can be constructed from many different materials including precious metal, ceramic, zirconium or gold.

Generally, we will need to reduce the adjacent teeth to make room for the materials used to fabricate the bridge so that the final product will have the correct size, shape and contact with the opposing teeth. However, we will make this decision upon assessment as sometimes a resin retained bridge will not require reduction of the adjacent teeth. If the adjacent teeth have enough enamel and support, then a resin retained bridge may be used as a permanent fixture by “gluing” it to the supporting teeth without further reduction.

Porcelain Veneers

Dental veneers are increasingly popular as they are a great option for closing gaps, straightening crowding or disguising discoloured teeth. These wafer-thin laminates or shells are tooth- coloured material (porcelain, ceramic or composite bonding material). They are “cemented” to the front surface of the tooth to improve their cosmetic appearance.

The great advantages of veneers over other treatments are that the procedure often needs little or no anaesthesia; and little or no tooth structure needs to be removed.

Composite Veneers (same day veneer)

This same day instant solution enables us to give you a smile makeover and improve the size, shape and lightness of your teeth.

Root Canal Treatment

This treatment is dependent on thorough examination where we will take x-rays to analyse issues in detail. We will advise you on the best course of treatment depending on the the tooth.

Enlighten tooth whitening is the only tooth whitening system that guarantees the dental industry standard lightest shade on the Vita Shade System, the B1 shade. Simply put, you can be assured that this simple tooth whitening kit will help you achieve the whitest shade you can possibly get!

It is a simple process. We will give you a thorough examination and set you up with a bespoke system, you use the teeth whitening trays over a 2-week period at home and you will visit us for desensitising and you can be assured that our expert care will ensure everything is goes smoothly.

Inman Aligner

If you are concerned about non-aligned or crooked teeth, then the Inman Aligner is the solution for you. It is a removable brace that is used to rapidly straighten front teeth in as little as 6 weeks.

The Inman Aligner uses highly efficient Nickel-Titanium springs to gently manoeuvre and move teeth into a better position. With our expert and professional care, you can achieve optimum results from as little as 6 weeks through to 4 to 5 months for more severe cases of crowding.

The brace will need to be worn between 16 to 20 hours a day and you will need to see your dentist every 2 to 3 weeks during treatment so we can keep a close eye on progress. As an added bonus, the Inman Aligner is also commonly used as part of the Alignment, Bleaching and Bonding processes to perform minimally invasive smile makeovers.

Occlusal Splint (for jaw or bite problems)

Occlusal splints are hard clear removable devices which are designed to sit on top of your top or bottom teeth. They are used to treat TMD (temporomandibular joint disorder), teeth grinding, teeth wear, breakages and aching jaw or facial muscles.

We will examine and record how your jaw works and construct the splint to help position your jaw ideally. We will then carry out fine adjustments on the splint over a few months to ensure a successful outcome.

Occlusal Equilibration (bite correction)

Problems and interferences with your bite (occlusion) can result in jaw pain, headaches, worn or chipped teeth, teeth grinding and pain. When there is a discrepancy between where the teeth bite together best and where the jaw joints are fully seated, the jaw tends to shift in order to allow the teeth to fit together completely. This shift, which most people are unaware of, creates stress in the joints, muscles and your teeth.

As part of your oral examination, we will assess your occlusion and advise you accordingly. We can treat most occlusal problems by a series of small planned adjustments to your outer enamel layer of teeth. Just be aware that some cases will require an Occlusal Splint whilst more complex problems will be referred to a specialist or Orthodontist.

Dentures

Dentures have progressed considerably and we are able to replace missing teeth with the same principles of smile design we use for natural teeth. In some cases, we will combine dentures with crowns to improve their retention. Of course, the Gold Standard is still a dental implant but a denture is more effective for replacing missing teeth. Some of our denture options include:

  • Upper and lower private denture
  • Complete upper and lower full denture
  • Cobalt chrome denture
  • Flexible dentures

Sports Guards

Mouth guards are crucial for any age group playing contact sports. These mouth guards can be bespoke to your sports club by incorporating your club badge or team colours.

We are happy to work with your sports club and discuss any orders for your full team. Please contact us on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for full details.

Snoring Treatment

If you are affected by severe snoring and do not suffer from Sleep Apnea, we may be able to help you by providing you with a custom made mouth guard that positions your lower jaw forward and stops or reduces the vibration of your soft palate (the cause of snoring).

Weight loss and alcohol avoidance before bed can also help reduce snoring. We are happy to discuss your options for your treatment.
